Max Aicher company has already built more than 30 waste transfer stations, dozens of presses and over a thousand containers.
Waste Treatment Plant Schwandorf since its launch in 1983, uses a reliable Max Aicher long-distance transport system. Waste from the twelve districts in Bavaria are received by the garbage trucks and it is injected into the containers at transfer stations. Then the waste is transported to central plant in Schwandorf. Pressing allows to reduce the volume of waste by 75% depending on its composition.
Incinerator in Schwandorf collects waste from the area of approximately 12 thousand. km ² (1.3 million inhabitants). The amount of garbage is estimated at the level of 355 thousand tons per year is and it is delivered to 11 transfer stations. A similar system operates in southern Bavaria - six waste transfer stations feeds incinerator in Burgkirchen (200 thousand tons of waste per year).
